Association of Large Distribution Cooperatives
The Association of Large Distribution Cooperatives (ALDC) is the trusted forum dedicated to advancing the collective interests of the nation’s largest retail electric cooperatives.
Our focus is inward, serving our members by fostering collaboration, sharing ideas, and exchanging proven best practices that strengthen operations and supply chains. Unlike advocacy groups or media-driven organizations, ALDC is intentionally member-centered and internally focused—ensuring that everything we do is designed to deliver tangible value to cooperatives themselves.
Founded in 2001 by eight pioneering cooperatives and incorporated in Texas as a 501(c)(6), ALDC has since grown into a robust network of 49 members across 17 states. This growth reflects the power of cooperation among cooperatives—an enduring principle that drives efficiency, resilience, and community impact for millions of Americans.
